In addition to their albums and extensive touring cycles together, the members of July Talk have engaged in other creative endeavors, both past and present. The band, collectively and individually, have worked on films, music videos for other artists, performance art collectives and even video games.

- Dwayne Gretzky – a phenomenal supergroup that delivers all your fave covers in a non-stop party ft Ian Docherty on guitar and, on occasion, other members of July Talk as guest vocalists
- Disaster Pony – An electronic infused jazz band helmed by Docherty and July Talk collaborators Gordon Hyland and Adam Hindle.

- Peter Dreams: solo project, debuted live in 2023. Broodier, electro-folk soundscapes backed by Moonriivr.
